Jegog music is a traditional music from Jembrana area. This Gamelan made from organized bamboo which various size and provide different  sound. Gamelan is almost equal to that made of iron, only jegog is made of bamboo and size of each major appliance is very different from the usual gamelan and a distinctive voice difference very much.

Sounds that are made from bamboo can be found in various parts of the universe, since primitive times to the present. Similarly, in Bali, the use of bamboo as a vehicle sounds still continued to this day. Some form of Balinese gamelan orchestra now is quite few made of bamboo. Besides having musical dignity as a medium of expression, Bali bamboo in the community, since the past until now, sacred place, a symbolic as well of course also a practical multi-functional.

Some forms of bamboo gamelan are still inherited and passed on by each community, traditionally classified as a gamelan functions associated with ritual or religious custom and bamboo gamelan are functioning as an expression of pure art and entertainment. Bamboo gamelan called Jegog can be found in the West Bali, especially in Jembrana.
