One of the best beach attraction than Kuta beach is Sanur beach. Also known as Sunrise Beach. we see the sun rise freely without obstructed by mountains or hills.

Three things make Sanur beach interesting place beside the sun rising :
- Unique white sand beach
- The blazing sun
- Low tide in the afternoon, for visitor to canoe ride, a kind of small boats.

This beach is located in the east and south of village of Sanur, is famous since ancient times, specially during a war Puputan Badung on 20th September 1906.

For tourism, Sanur beach was first introduced by the Belgian painter name A.J. Le Mayeur with his wife Ni Polok who lived there since 1937 and held an exhibition of his own paintings.
